Chapter 1
One of my friends used to tell this story: “I was coming back from another city by bus and there was a 5-6 year old child sitting in the seat infront of me, cuddled against their mother. The child was continuously baiting me by grabbing a cocoa chocolate from the side towards me and towards themselves. I got irritated, so this time when the child brought the chocolate, I took a big bite! The child got a bit upset, but their parents gave them another chocolate. I felt so mischievous for doing that. After a while, I felt something happening in my stomach. I went to the driver and told him to stop so I could go to the bathroom. Anyway, problem solved. Not even a quarter of an hour passed, and the same thing happened again. I went again… The third time, other passengers were looking at me suspiciously. This time, I tried to control myself, but it seemed impossible. I went to the driver and he said, ‘Go sit down, are you making fun of us?’ I went and sat down. I asked the child’s mother what that chocolate was. She said the child was constipated, so we mix laxatives with chocolates and give it to the child!!! Anyway, I was in a real dilemma. I felt a lot of pressure in my mind. Finally, I said to the lady, ‘Excuse me, do you have more of those chocolates?’ She said yes and gave me one. I went to the driver and said, ‘You have to eat this.’ And there was no way he could refuse. He took a bite and happily returned to my seat. It didn’t take ten minutes before the driver stopped the bus!!! I got off, happy with the ingenuity I had shown! A quarter later, the bus stopped again…! Then he called me to the front and said, ‘What did you give me to eat?’ I said, ‘Sir, I had the same problem!’ It was the same chocolate! You wouldn’t understand my situation! Anyway, the driver kept stopping every quarter and calling me, saying, ‘Hey, young man! Let’s go!’ “
